Pastoral Psychiatry

I am a patient at a small (but very good) community hospital near my home.  If you've been in a psychiatric office, you know that in the waiting room, there are usually magazines to read.

Drs. Spot and Milkcowski are colleages in my comic.  I wanted to use this pun with Milkcowski in a bookstore.  But in spite of this being a totally unrealistic comic strip, I needed some element of plausibility for my comic to work in print.

Kickoff: John and Jane Doe

It took me a while to get this one right.  I really should use these two new characters in more of my comics (as this one was published on the aniversary of the "Comics" section of the Eastern Echo, 2 Feb 2009, and I haven't used them since).  Of course, this comic really does beg the question: Who took the surname of whom?
